Meet the "Vause" Rapper, 3SIIIxty.

After a girl’s-trip-turned-music-video-shoot in Vegas led me to meet the man they call Faze, AKA 3SIIIxty, I knew there would be other encounters between us at some point in the future. Fast forward a month later and 3SIIIxty is the first interview for Bad Kollective’s Klubhouse Sessions. I got to talk with the artist about new music, moving to Las Vegas, fried chicken and baddies, and much more. You wanna know who 3SIIIxty is? Let me put you on.

____________________________________

It’s been almost a month since I first met you. What have you been getting into during that time?

I’ve been pretty much grindin’ every day, developing my craft. We’ve also been spending a lot of time upgrading our studio so, far as new hardware. And, of course exploring my new city of residence, Las Vegas.

Yeah, that’s right. You’re from up here in Seattle, more specifically Bremerton, right? Why move down to Vegas?

Yeah, I grew up in Brem but a lot of people I know live in the city as well. I moved to Las Vegas because I want to travel, make connects in major cities next door to Seattle. Next, I’ll hit LA and more parts of Cali.

LA is definitely a hotspot, so it’s no surprise you want to end up there at some point. Vegas is a hotspot, but I can’t say I’ve heard of that many people out in Vegas for music. Have you already made some connects?

Oh yeah, lots of connects. Not as many artists, but lots of producers, models, and generally well-connected people. Also, there’s a lot of people here following careers that complement the music game.

That’s really dope that you’ve already made connects. When you add in producers & models, I can really see how you can get your name around out there. Speaking of names, you used to go by Faze the Entertainer. Why the name change to 3SIIIxty?

Because I rep my city super tough. 360 is my area code and also could be marketed a lot more. “What goes around, comes around” is a motto I live by as well, so, 360 just fits my life a lot better.

I really like that you can tie in different things to that name. Under the new moniker you have a new song you released called “Vause.” It’s very chill, has a mellow beat, with a lyrical focus on a female. What was the inspiration behind this song?

Every man has situations with women that he never likes to talk about. But me, as an artist, love to target men’s side of relationships and what we think women want. I also think the game is starting to pay attention to a lot of saucy artist that can make females vibe out while empowering them and the male.

I think that’s very important that men speak more on their experiences, rather than the stereotype that they can’t show emotion or talk about those kinds of things. Especially a man speaking on a woman and not completely degrading her is also important. Speaking, of women, I recall you saying you have a weakness for “Trap Barbies.” You have anyone right now that you’re with? It is cuffing season…

Trap Barbies are my basis of a dream woman. Mostly girls who aren’t oblivious to the game, respect hood tendencies, but still understand how to balance her classiness in the right places. When I find her I’ll put some babies in her and get rich together. Until then, I’m just being young.

So, in other words, you’re single. That question was just for the ladies out there who will read this. Now back to something more important, what projects can we expect from you in 2019?

Soon we can be expecting a 7-track project, 3 music videos, features with artists from Seattle, Las Vegas, and more. This has all been under construction and will be a fly, new sound that I feel like people are going to fuck with. Mostly all tracks about beautiful women and maybe a few conscious tracks about being who I am and why it’s a good life for me.

I can appreciate a catchy song that doesn’t make much sense. But, I really love a song with substance. So, I’m definitely looking forward to hearing your new music. What’s your view on the different issues going on in the country right now? Do you plan on touching on any of those topics in your future songs?

Fuck politics, to be honest. I’ve been watching so much fuckery that it’s really just a reality TV show. I was never into Flavor of Love, the Kardashians, or none of that goofy shit. I’m just gone get my money best I can and make this music. I figure if I get rich enough and shit keeps getting weird in the country, I can move all my niggas to an island with unlimited fried chicken and baddies. Let America fuck itself up.

Unlimited fried chicken and baddies sound like a pretty good alternative. I’m sure lots of people would be down for that! So, I think I had told you in Vegas that I recently moved to Seattle from Houston. Coming from a place like Houston, that has a legendary rap title attached to it, I’ve seen that the music scene is actually huge here too, and not something I expected from a place like Seattle, especially the rap/hip-hop scene. Who are some artists you listen to that are local?

I fuck with a lot of people’s music, no specifics to be honest. I just know there’s a lot of cats grinding. I can say I’m not too much in the goth/emo rap scene, but I fucks with their shows.

Yeah, there are definitely a lot of people out here on the come-up. You being one of them. Most people that don’t already know you, will only know you from a fan standpoint, not from a personal view as much. What’s something most people don’t know about you?

Most people don’t know I was born in Mississippi and that I used to be maddddd into EDM festivals.

Wow, really? I would’ve never guessed that about you! In this industry, something people talk about is how every artist has their own style when it comes to fashion. What’s your style like? What are you normally wearing?

I’m a straight, white-T enthusiast. Ain’t nothing like a fresh white T, no stains, no wrinkles. I also love boots and dress shoes with my sweats.

Okay, so not too flashy. Just a classic look. I’m really into sneakers. I gotta ask what are your favorite kicks?

We can talk all day about that, but if we gonna be direct, I’d have to say any form of Jordan 11s. The soles of those shoes always outweigh any other pair for me.

11’s are a good choice. I have to say 1’s are my favorite & look the best on my feet, in my opinion. As you get bigger, you’ll start performing at bigger venues. If you could sell out any venue, what venue would you hope to sell out?

I’d start small and say Show Box, but of course, Madison Square is a record to beat.

MSG is definitely a big goal for most artists, I think. Honestly, selling out any venue, no matter how big or small, will be an amazing experience. Just knowing so many came to see you. To end on a positive note, 2019 is less than 2 months away. What’s the motto you’re living by in 2019?

360- What goes around, comes around and what you put in, you’re gonna get out.

Nice, I really appreciate you taking the time to let me & all your fans, future fans, friends, family, dogs, cats, everybody, get to know you. We’ll all definitely be on the lookout for what you have in store for us!

And I thank you for your time and interest. Stay tuned for more material!
